„This new dermoscopy method with transluminescence allows to capture exactly the structure of a nevus in stronger pigmented findings, i.e. a regular reticular pattern, which proves the innocuousness of a nevus.
With incident-light microscopy, the absoption and the reflection of light impede the ,insight’ into the epidermis and the upper cutis.
Diagnostic findings established with transluminescence give a transparent picture of the findings with a detailed visualisation of the pigment’s structure and its composition. In this way further structures such as vessels and tissue differences can be detected.“
